Semiconductor Process Workforce Training Program
Empowering Technicians and Engineers for the Future of Semiconductor Manufacturing
Rydontechnology’s Semiconductor Process Workforce Training Program is a comprehensive, modular curriculum designed to equip process technicians and engineers with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for success in semiconductor fabrication environments.
This program supports workforce development across three key roles—production operators, technicians, and process engineers—with a particular focus on technician-level and engineering-level training. Delivered through structured classroom sessions and interactive team-based activities, the program prepares participants to contribute confidently and competently to advanced manufacturing operations.
Program Overview
Our training spans the full semiconductor lifecycle—from materials and device fundamentals to complex manufacturing processes and workplace competencies. Participants will gain:
• An understanding of semiconductor physics, fabrication techniques, device packaging and industry standards.
• Practical insights into contamination control, yield analysis, and cleanroom protocols.
• Team-based problem-solving skills using industry methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and FMEA.
Each module is tailored to the learner’s role, with extension sessions available for engineers seeking advanced specialisation.
Course Structure
Bespoke courses can be developed. The following program is an example of an existing developed course.
The program is organized into three core modules, comprising ten standalone units:
Module 1: Introduction to Semiconductors
• Semiconductor Materials and Devices
• The Semiconductor Industry
Module 2: Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes
• Deposition of Thin Films (CVD, PVD, ALD)
• Photolithography and Etching
• Doping and Ion Implanting
• Back End of Line (BEOL)
• Packaging and Test
Module 3: Semiconductor Manufacturing Workplace Skills
• Contamination Control and Cleanroom Protocols
• Yields and Yield Analysis
• Teamwork Skills for Semiconductor Process Workforces
Each unit is delivered in 90-minute sessions using PowerPoint, video, and collaborative exercises. Practical demonstrations are integrated where possible, especially in workplace skills modules.
